Haoto - Sound of a Bird's Wings
This is a beautiful kimono which was given to me by
for my birthday. At the moment we are a bit unsure as to how this kimono should be classified. We're not sure if it's a houmongi or a chuu furisode. Basically, houmongi are generally sewn with 49cm sleeves, and chuu furisode generally have 75cm sleeves. Well, this kimono has 65cm sleeves, so we're really not sure where it belongs. I'm going to call it a chuu-furimongi okay?
Anyways, this kimono has beautiful, vibrantly coloured peacocks and chrysanthemums on a pale background. These photos don't do it justice.

i don't think the birds is peacocks, i think they may be a japan phoenix, because peacock have more pattern when expressing thier tail
