Africa Yukata III

My quest to photograph myself in all of my kimono goes on! I've still got seven kimono and two obi left. Not to mention all the unfinished karinui I have yet to sew.

Well, today was a day for yukata kitsuke, and for my second ensemble I put on my Africa Yukata. This is the yukata I made out of a bolt of cotton I bought 2 years ago in Angola. Well, I returned to Angola this passed April and found these beautiful brown and white, sculpted hair sticks for sale in the airport in Namibia. I know they would be perfect for this outfit so I snatched them up. I also found a beautiful belt made of wooden beads that suited this kimono nicely.

I think this is one of my favourite kimono. When I put it on there's just something about it that makes me want to pretend I'm a lion stalking through the grasses. So I had a bit of fun with some of the poses today.
