Hey everyone, I'm back home again from India. I've actually been home for about 2 weeks already, but things have only now just got settled down again. My Etsy shop is still offline at the moment. This is because G-Anime is coming up next weekend. So I figured I will take my stock with me and reopen the Etsy shop when I get back from there. So, I've been researching some of the motifs on Fuyou-hime's spectacular furisode which she sent me for repairs, and I thought I would share with you all some of the information I've discovered. This is the furisode of which I speak: :thumb186408361: The creature appearing on the skirt is definitely a pair of lion dancers. The lion dance costumes vary greatly throughout Japan, but the one on Fuyou's kimono is one of the most popular. The head is made from laquered wood, and the body is green cloth.
