Tanoshiiomoide - Sweet Memory
Today it snowed and rained all day... so I made it a kitsuke day!
In this shot I'm wearing one of my Taisho era (1912 - 1925) black crested furisode and my orange phoenix fukuro obi.
I love this kimono! This is the best fitting taisho kimono I've ever found! Look, I can even wear it with an ohashiori! This peice would make an incredible hikizuri on someone a bit shorter than me.
Anyways, I tried tying a super wide obi today, but I didn't really like how it looked. So I tied that second obiage around the bottom to cover some of the width and I think it makes the ensemble much more interesting.

(Though, is there a reference out there for the kimono terminology you use? Some of I can get from context, but some of it is like "um, I guess she is talking about the dress?".)
