These pretty red and purple clips were made from the lining of a ruined antique kimono. The kimono was a taisho era irotomesode with bad discolouration and missing sleeves. The purple is from the outer kimono and the red is from the lining. I've remade that kimono as a susoyoke which I can wear under my other taisho kimono, and I used the scraps to make kanzashi.

Yeah, personally I hate it when people cut up perfectly good kimono for crafts, but this one was utterly BEYOND repair. So at that point, crafts are the best thing to do with them.
