IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE!
*dances around* I feel like I've been waiting forever for this thing! I got a great deal on this kimono; it's a Taisho era furisode (1912-1925) brought to the States after the second world war. Ever since I first started learning about kimono, Taisho era designs were my favourite! I wanted a Taisho kimono for such a long time, but ones with such a pretty design and in such good condition are usually expensive. Most of the comparable furisode I've seen have been upwards of $300! When I saw this baby up for sale (and the price the seller was asking), I knew I better snatch her up before someone looking to cut up kimono for fabric found her. And so, now I have a Taisho kimono - that's purple - and a five crested furisode no less! AND LOOK! It even has a lightly padded hem for wearing hikizuri style! *hugs the kimono* You can see this furisode being worn here: [link] [link] [link] |

Something creative would go here, if I were creative enough to think of something.
