This is for all you would be Halloween Maiko out there!

Ever wonder how to do the Maiko doo? Well here it is! A tutorial on creating the Momoware style with your own hair.

What you will need:
Brush
Comb
Hair ties like crazy
2 Hair ties with beaded ends
Bobby pins
Cardboard cylinder
Decorative ribbon or cloth

That's right, it's all stuff you can probably find in your washroom - otherwise you might need to pay a visit to the local drugstore.

Enjoy!

Thank you and you're welcome! I'm glad you like it!
Oooo, lovely! I must try this sometime.

How long would you say that your hair should be to get it to work properly?

great! I will try! thanks for giving us! :aww:
Thank you and you're welcome!
Thanks! Well, it's a little hard to know. My hair is probably a little TOO long (that's why the mage ends up getting messy). My hair is down to about my waiste. I can say this, though: Your hair should definitely be longer than shoulder length, but if it's not, you can get an extention and add it to the ponytail on top of your head.
Hmmm, thanks for letting me know. It should work for my hair - it's layer, but all layers are at least past my shoulder. Yay! :D

I wish I had long hair so I could try this - I like that you're not using the "right" products. BIG FAV for a BIG ARTIST.
Thank you! Well if your hair is long enough to get into the top ponytail, you can use an extension to make the top-knot.
Well, if your hair is layered you might want to try this while your hair is wet - or at least damp.
