Thank you so very much for these short and easily understandable tutorials. I'm using all kinds of references, and a few different techniques (for now at least - access is difficult), but knowing more about how, when and why gives me much more courage to keep practising strongly and hopefully soon upload a few results. :)

I was wondering if you could help me... For the falls you said to use decorative string... I just found ribbon roll of cording and used that, but it didn't work out too well.

What kind of decorative string do you use or suggest to use?

What did you use for these two: Little Pink Hana and Turquoise Nanohana?

I don't really know the name of the string I use. It's just a decorative cord that I find at the bead store I go to. The key to working with string, is making sure you allow the string to hang freely as you work, so that you can place the petals in such a way that the string isn't twisting or bending.

For Little Pink Hana and Turquoise Nanohana, I actually used mizuhiki cord. It's actually a paper covered string. The only problem with mizuhiki is that it's very stiff, so the falls don't dangle like with other strings. They just kind of sit where you place them.

What gauge wire do you generally use for this?

I use about 1.5mm gauge wire.

Uhm, may I ask a question? Would it be possible to make this bigger? It looks lovely, but I can't see it very well.
