Eibetsu no Fuyu
Winter's Final Farewell This is a pretty little houmongi I purchased back in February. I bought it for one simple reason... SNOW!!! I love kimono with snow scenes and they're not all together common. So when I saw this one up on Ichiroya, I thought, why not? I came up with the name due to some of the weather we had today. Basically, it's been snowing all day, eventhough it's spring already. Around here you really can't discount snow until May. Anyways, I figured that the light dusting of snow beside the numerous cherry blossoms marks this kimono right at the cusp of winter and spring - perfect for today's weather! I also thought this would make a nice complement to my Fuyu Higure men's kimono: [link] |
