This is my geiko odori kimono which was given to me by a friend in February. I decided to go for some simple colours for this one and have some fun with the odori inspired poses.
I've been busy making accessories to be worn in the Anime North 2010 Kimono Fashion Show these days. The red susoyoke peeking out at the feet is one of those accessories I've made. I'm also wearing this kimono with an eri-sugata (easy collar) rather than a juban. I made a few of these eri-sugata since I won't have enough juban for all the models. Allow me to say, despite the name "easy collars"; aren't any easier to dress yourself with than a regular juban.

And to think that Geisha don't use the ties on their eri-sugata. I believe they just drape them over their shoulders and let their korin belt do all the work.
I love this one! Red never gets old and the checks are very much Odori, lol. I love the fan too, I gotta get me some of those.
