Yay! So I managed to finish another kimono this week!
This is Ayame-sama - Lady Iris.
I made this kimono for my best friend. It's her favourite colour with her favourite flower on it. I found this as a karinui on YJA for about $20 more than a year ago. It was just perfect for her so I snatched it up. Originally I had planned to pad the hem on this one for her, but I made a mistake with my measurements and made the lining too short. So it's just a normal furisode with no padded hem. Unfortunately I don't have an obi with iris motifs on it, but this one worked colour wise. I think a lavender obiage and obijime would probably bring out the purples in the irises a little more too.
